Kalat was notified as Division in the year, 1955. Khuzdar became its Headquarter in 1965. Kalat Division covers land area of 89,982 Sq. Km. It is also larger than KPK and almost equal in land mass to Sindh province. Kalat Division is one fifth(1/5) of whole Pakistan. Total population of Kalat Division is 21,76,872 (2017 Census). Kalat Division has accommodated three colorful cultures i-e Brahvi, Sindhi & Balochi. Kalat Division comprises of seven districts, namely; Mastung, Kalat, Surab, Khuzdar, Awaran, Lasbela and Hub.
